The July 2015 Metro Vancouver Housing #'s are here, and summer heat hasn't slowed buyer activity. Despite the news, buyer confidence continues to be strong, and when combined with low interest rates, many are not wating to find first home, their next step on the property ladder or their dream home.
Here are the hightlights
- We saw a 30% increase in residential property sales in July 2015 compared to July 2014
- July 2015's sales were 33.5% above the 10-year sales average for the month
- Overall for Metro Vancouver there are 5,000-6,000 less properties for sale than any time over the last 5 to 6 years
- The July sales-to-active-listings ratio was 34.6% for all Metro Vancouver, a strong seller's market
- The July sales-to-active listings ratio for North Vancouver detached properties was 61.05%
- The July sales-to-active listings ratio for North Vancouver condos & townhouses was 45.05%
- The July sales-to-active listings ratio for West Vancouver detached properties was 17.53%
- The July sales-to-active listings ratio for Coal Harbour condos was 38.46%
- Sales of detached properties in July 2015 were 17.9% higher than July 2014 and 24.8% higher than July 2013
- Sales of apartment properties in July 2015 were 42.7% higher than July 2014 and 42.9% higher than July 2013
- Sales of attached properties in July 2015 were 30.9% higher than July 2014 and 41.7% higher than July 2013
